Carl

There always seems to be a lonely soul or two who have difficulty finding their way out of the shelter.  Their days turn into weeks and the weeks into months but we do not give up on them.  Each one deserves a home.  A match respecting both the needs of the dog and those of the new owner is key.

In this case it is Carl, an extremely handsome 2 year old Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd.   He has a kind and endearing personality who loves his walks, car rides, his playtime and a big comfy bed to curl up in.  Carl will need a dog savvy adult family who can offer him a calm environment on fenced acreage away from lots of hustle and bustle.

The poor soul was found in the country wandering all alone and fearful.  Who knows what type of treatment he might have had to endure.  One can only speculate it was not always of a kind hand or soft word.  He had to learn how to trust again but with time and dedication he was transformed into a loveable teddy bear, the trauma of the past now long gone.  He is still unsure however of any new situations and will be guarded until he gets to know you.  He usually warms up fairly quickly and once that trust takes hold and the bond is established you will be showered with unwavering loyalty.  

There is a purpose for Carl on this earth as for any human or other animal.  His soulful eyes beg of not merely existing in this world but to thrive at the centre of someone's heart and home.
