Another frustrating day at OMK.

A kind oilfield worker found a poor dog near Red Willow in Stettler County, close to Range Road 18-3 and TWP 41-0. He was checking up on an oil lease.

He reached out for help, thank goodness ♥️

We noticed snow tracks indicating two people likely dropped the dog off in the tree line and shot her. It was a bad shot and the bullet went into her her cheek, she ran away, hiding in a snow pile. She bolted the moment she saw us.

It took hours to find her under a neighbor’s truck.

She was so scared and so sweet. It’s truly heartbreaking to see such a loyal animal in so much pain. Why are people so mean?

We finally got her safely into my car and dropped her off at the vet. The bullet had gone right through her cheek, tongue, and into her brain. Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do except strong pain medication, antibiotics, and hope 🙏 for a positive outcome.

She will receive all the care she deserves ♥️❤️‍🩹

Be kind to animals they deserve so much better.
